Credit card or PayPal Donations

Credit card and PayPal donations made on Bright Funds to nonprofits based outside of the U.S. typically reach the nonprofit 1-2 months after the donation is made. For instance, a donation made in January will be sent to our disbursement partner in February, then disbursed to the nonprofit in the weeks following.

Matching Donations

Matching gifts for nonprofits based outside of the US are typically disbursed to the nonprofit about 3 months after the match request is approved. This is primarily because Bright Funds must receive the matching funds from the matching company before we can queue the funds to be disbursed to the nonprofit.

If a matching donation was approved in January, the donation is sent to our disbursement partner in mid-March, and to the nonprofit in the weeks following.

Credit Donations

Credit donations for nonprofits based outside of the US are typically disbursed to the nonprofit about 3 months after the donation is submitted. This is primarily because Bright Funds must receive the funds from the company before we can queue the funds to be disbursed to the nonprofit.

If a credit donation was submitted in January, the donation is sent to our disbursement partner in mid-March, and to the nonprofit in the weeks following.

Please note that donations for nonprofits based outside the U.S. are sent by our disbursement partners. Aggregate donation totals under a minimum threshold may be delayed an additional one to three months.
